"Volunteering with the Red Cross"

As we all know, Haiti suffered a terrible catastrophe January 12th at 4:53 when an earthquake hit the country. This has brought the whole world together to cooperate to send food, water and other items for the affected.
Mexico was one of the countries that helped the most. Mexico sent moles- a team who specialize in digging people out of crumbled buildings. Mexico has kept these experts trained since the 1986 earthquake. Also, the Cruz Roja Mexicana will send people from all over the country to lend aid.
Here at Colegio Siglo XXI we gathered tuna and water along with baby diapers. The Red Cross came to the school and pickled up the donations to ship to Guanajuato where it will be sent to Haiti later.
